Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative

Mac’s Plumbing, Heating, & Air is hiring experienced Customer Service Reps and Dispatchers. We are looking for detail-oriented hard workers who are eager to serve customers on the phone with patience and care and who learn quickly.

The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following duties:

• Answer customer inquiries via phone, text, and email
• Work as a team player and be willing to assist when help is needed
• Maintain constant connection with filed and office staff
• Dispatch, monitor, and follow up with progress of technicians in the field
• Communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service

To perform these duties, the following experience will be helpful:

• 2+ years phone-based customer service (plumbing or HVAC)
• 2+ years dispatching (plumbing or HVAC)

This is a full-time, Monday-Friday day shift position.

Plumbing Service Technician

Our plumbing service technicians are the heart of our business. The community of Elk Grove relies on our plumbers in their times of need, so it is important for us to have a team who can rise to the occasion. Installations and repairs can be complex and involved. • $50,000 to $80,000 a year, plus bonuses and commissions

Plumbing Installer

We are seeking a qualified Journeyman Plumber Installer to be a part of the team. The right candidate will be able to install new residential water heaters, perform water and sewer service, whole house repipe, plumbing fixtures such as new toilets, faucets, water softeners, circulation pumps, and more. If selected for this position, you will be working both alone and as part of our team. When the position is carried out in a team setting, you will be responsible for keeping the job on schedule, keeping helpers on task, and adhering to job costs.

The candidate selected will be responsible for the following duties:

• Performing all work safely and efficiently
• Maintaining a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy
• Maintaining responsibility for overall customer satisfaction with regards to communication, workmanship, and quality
• Ensuring that the necessary paperwork is completed and turned to the appropriate person or location
• Utilizing the proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation of all products
• Entering time and mileage and materials into all relevant software
• Downloading and uploading data and information into the customer’s account in the company database
• Ensuring that payments are collected upon job completion

To perform these duties, the following experience will be helpful:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to adhere to safe driving practices
• Must be completely drug-free at all times
• Must pass background check
• Must possess the ability to lift heavy objects with appropriate lifting tools that are up to 150 pounds
• License to be a plumber is preferred, but not required
• Must possess mechanical aptitude and the skills necessary to operate hand power tools and equipment
• 2+ years’ experience of installation in a plumbing or mechanical trade
• Must have the ability to operate a mobile device and navigate company software
• Must have strong organizational, time management, and communication skills

The position includes the following pay and benefits:

• $60,000 - $125,000 a year, plus bonus and commissions

HVAC Service Technician

Here in our beloved community of Elk Grove, the summers can be quite hot, while the winters can be quite cold. We appreciate the opportunity to experience different seasons, but our HVAC machines do not always feel the same. Sometimes, our HVAC machines are required to work extra hard in order to keep the homes here comfortable, and the HVAC service technicians at Mac’s Plumbing, Heating, & air are responsible for achieving this.

The candidate selected will be responsible for the following duties:

• Cleaning and repairing HVAC systems and performing warranty services
• Providing preventative maintenance by cleaning reheat coils, air handling units, and calibrating air handling units
• Fixing defective HVAC systems and handling equipment to discover the underlying cause of any issues
• Cleaning ducts to optimize air quality and efficiency
• Fixing, adjusting, and replacing vents and ductwork
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
• Keeping track of daily logs and records of maintenance functions
