I am so pleased to post this review. I didn’t realize it was so easy to do. My spouse and I would like to thank Steve for coming out and introducing us to the HVAC system. However, our old system was so outdated and not working properly. Steve explained in every detail about how the system works. He was very polite and made sure we understood everything, including the correct size for our home and cost. The team installed our HVAC; they were very professional, knowledgeable, and respectful. Whenever there was something we didn’t understand, the team responded in a timely manner. We also had a new gas line installed to hook up to a range, a new air vent and fan installed in the bathroom, and a new sink faucet installed. Elk Grove inspectors came out and inspected all the work that was done in our home, including the existing water heater. We really appreciated the entire team; they did a fantastic job overall and are one of the best companies in Elk Grove. We would refer Mac’s Plumbing to anyone. They solve your problems and do a great job. All staff we encountered were very professional and polite. We were so impressed with this company—how they break things down to you and stand behind their work—we were not so concerned about the cost after all. This company is very reasonable with cost. They are number one.

An honest, local HVAC company.
Excellent service and pricing. Put in new electric hot water heater and HVAC system, including all of the duct work, which had to be redone because the old duct work was done wrong. Took care of all of the SMUD rebate paperwork. Made repairs all under warranty at no cost to us. An honest, local HVAC company. Not like these big companies that sell you overpriced equipment and services you don't need. I hope that they don't get acquired by one of the big dishonest companies.

Had water heater and HVAC system converted to heat pump. Steve, the owner of the company, was the one who suggested what my house needs and had a good price for both systems. It's such a nice feeling to have the owner of the company come in and analyze and estimate your needs.
Water heater and HVAC systems were installed by Nate and Ed. Both did the job impeccably well and at a professional and perfectionist level. These two gentlemen are highly experienced and highly recommended. They made sure the install was perfect—do it once so no issues later. Even the inspector told me that he never had issues with these guys and does the inspection only once for all their installs.
Ed and Nate also improved the ductwork, raised the air exchange unit (which is now better protected from dust and elements up in the attic), and corrected the water evap line piping of my system. Now my house is heating evenly with no cold spots. Can't wait to have this system in summer and see the electricity savings.
I highly recommend Mac's Plumbing Heating and Air and I will be a lifetime customer from now on.

We were so pleased with the crew who installed our heating and air system. The work was extensive, requiring duct work, new insulation, and a new whole house fan. Nathan and Matt were especially conscientious, cleaning up every day and consulting about where to put the new thermostat and fan switch. They were always on time, focused, and let us know when things might get noisy so we could plan our day. How wonderful it is to have a warm house as the cooler evenings settle in. They went above and beyond in sealing our attic against potential critters and making sure our dryer duct was clean and secure. Our system is a change from gas to electric. It is extremely quiet, and we are happy with it.

They recently installed a new Daikin Fit heat pump and air handler in my home to replace AC and a gas furnace. Everyone who came to my house was on time as scheduled and behaved with courtesy and professionalism. They gave me a good price and did quality work. They coordinated all the rebates from SMUD and CA Tech Update. I only had one small form to fill out for SMUD. All the work passed building inspection without difficulty. The office staff was exceptional in their knowledge and effort. They coordinated everything including the building inspector. I will consider Mac's Plumbing, Heating & Air first for all my future plumbing, heating and air service needs.
